Recently I had the opportunity to explore the small town of Clayton, Georgia. I was on the quest for coffee after a venue interview and I had heard good things about Grapes and Beans. So, off I went and man oh man did they deliver! The coffee was delicious, served in hand me down ceramic mugs and with enough cream and sugar to make it light and sweet, just the way I like it 🙂 Their outdoor space was filled with the afternoon light and had vines creeping up the walls making it feel like a different world. The food was also delicious and locally sourced. A pretty great find.
Afterwards, I had some time to kill so I decided to walk around and I stumbled upon find after find. First a gorgeous new event venue opening up called The White Birch Inn and they’re hosting a Frank Sinatra Black Tie Dinner in December. I die. Then I saw a butterfly in the town square garden and then I found Stekoa Trading Company. Holy. Smokes. I walked in and the first thing I noticed was how absolutely gorgeous this boutique is followed directly by Chip and Joanna Gaines new book staring me in the face. Ohhh hello heaven. I can’t even express to you how much perfect this store is, just check out the photos and let them speak for themselves because I’m pretty sure you’ll be in love too. And the owner of the store, Sally, is soooo fun! She and her mom took so much time out of their day to tell me all about the area and gave me a HUGE list of event venues to check out! and THEN Sally’s sweet momma gave me a ton of advice on my upcoming trip to Italy (Sally loves Rome so much she even keeps their weather on her iphone! ha!), and the cherry on top was Sally’s momma booked her a family session for her Christmas present! We had the session and yesterday and just wait until you see their blog. Those boys were SO fun!
Okay, I’ve talked enough. I think you get the point. My day in Clayton was AMAZING! So check out the photos and next time you’re in the are be sure to drop by Stekoa Trading Company and Grapes and Beans!
