Tiger Mountain Vineyards | A Wedding Venue Tour in Tiger, GA

Tiger Mountain Vineyards

Imagine a late October afternoon, with a cool breeze coming through the trees. The air is crisp and fresh and smells of fall. You can nearly grasp the excitement in the air as you walk down the aisle to marry your handsome groom. Your friends and family get to watch you become man and wife with the background of a breathtaking view of the North Georgia mountains in shades of crimson, gold, deep orange and all the shades in between. Afterwards you walk down the winding dirt road for photos with your new husband in front of the beautifully restored 75 year old Red Barn and through the vineyards located right on property. Then, spend the evening celebrating with your friends and family under a tent with a blanket of twinkling stars overhead.

I recently had the opportunity to go up to Tiger, Georgia to visit Tiger Mountain Vineyards and I was not disappointed in the least with the gorgeous views and small town feel that the area has to offer. It felt like I was far off the grid but with access to delicious wines and beautiful views, so really… bliss. I know that my brides are busy ladies so this fall I am taking one venue tour a week and will be posting all the details here as well as via facebook live so you can have a bit more information before taking the trek out to a venue.

*These tours are my own opinions and I have not been compensated in any way for sharing this information.

Here is my honest review of Tiger Mountain Vineyards.

  • The location is far enough outside of Atlanta to feel like a vacation destination, but close enough to be a day trip (1.5 hours approximately). The drive is easy and I found the views along the way enjoyable, especially in the fall with the leaves changing. Also an easy drive from Asheville, NC and similar travel time.
  • The views are breathtaking and it feels secluded while still being close to some shops in Clayton.
  • You will need to rent a tent for your reception if you have more than 50-70 guests. The barn is an open air cafe so weather could be an issue, however it is covered and they have fans/heaters.
  • The most common ceremony site is under a large tree on a grassy knoll overlooking the vineyards and mountains. (The photo at the top of this post is the view from the ceremony site)
  • Their events manager, Lisa, was very easy to communicate with, as well as kind and easy going when we met in person. She has rave reviews about being great to work with and I can see why!

“The Red Barn Café is the perfect setting for weddings, receptions, birthday celebrations, business or art workshops and other events. The barn features a full kitchen, restrooms, dining room, stone patio with fire pit, and spectacular vineyard and mountain views. Ideal for weddings of 50 to 125. Can accommodate up to 200 with tent adjacent to barn.
All Tiger Mountain Vineyards weddings/receptions, etc, are catered by Red Barn Chef David Sweeney.”
